For my class frontiers, We dove into two different but alike topics. We started with the ocean and diving deep into the issues we pose and what we can do. Our second unit was space. We talked to a University of Chicago graduate student and followed what he was up to. He gave great information about space and new things happening. Something that stood out to me was when he talked about the Big Bang how the scientists found out about it with just a sound. All that I learned this term grow my knowledge and made me ask more questions and wonder more about life. Before the class ended we had to create a poster on a Grand Challenge in space just like I did one for the ocean(found in my blog). I chose New Tools for Space Exploration. For the first half of my class Frontiers, we studied the ocean and everything about it from the creatures to the floor of the ocean. One of my favorite parts of the class was learning about the ecosystems in the ocean. This was interesting because I related it to the different ecosystems in the movie Finding Nemo. I was super interested so one day I went to watch Finding Dory while finishing up a frontier’s assignment. Overall, I learned a lot from the first half of the class and hope to learn more in the second. For this Action Project, we picked a Grand Challenge in the ocean and wrote a literature review on it. For the first project in endurance, we had to write an autobiography about ourselves. The main idea in this was what have I endured in life. I think I’ve been through a lot. I’ve endured a lot with my faith and believing in myself. I think writing this gave me time to think about life and what I've been through. I don’t realize it but God really blessed me with everything I have and who I am becoming. Sometimes people don’t even know they're going through things, but sitting down and writing helps out. __________________________________________________________________________ I grew up a Christain. I would go to church every Sunday and pray every day. When I was in fourth grade I transferred to a Christain middle school. I think this school did something to me. For our class, Equality I have learned so much. While learning about the inequality that goes on now we learned about the inequality that went on in the past. For this Action Project we got to chose inequality in gender, race, or class. I focused on race and Covid - 19. We went 100 years into the future and everything changed. Vacines for all! by PA

Before I took the class Social Entrepreneurship, I started my own business with another student on social media. It was an amazing experience to have a business than be in a class that teaches you about business. Before taking this class I was sure I knew everything I need to about making money and my business. I was sure I was on the right path to how to run my business. While in the class I knew I was going to feel like I knew everything and it was going to be easy. After finishing this class and making my business plan on my business I didn't know anything before joining this class, I wanted as much money as I could get. Making this business plan made me think about the impact I have on the business I work for them. Taking this class positively affected my business. I don't think I would be making the money I am now if I didn't realize that business is not all about money.  Being in the place to talk to my teacher one on one and talk about my business is a privilege and ...

  For our first action project in Equality, we worked on a issue relating to gender, class, or race. For this Project I did mine about class and focused on the low and middle class and how covid - 19 affected these two. In our class Equality, we learned about the complete opposite, the inequality that goes on in the present and in the past. From learning all about the inequality I wanted to focus more on class. I see more of gender and race publicized but not as much as the poor and working class.
