In my class called frobited books we read a book called fahrenheit 451. This book taught me how books and knowledge are related to freedom and individuality. I thought I was not going to enjoy this book but it was not as bad as I thought it would be. We also learned about Greek philosophers and the socratic dialogue. “A socratic dialogue is a genre of literary prose developed in Greece at the turn of the fourth century BC.” Plato and Xenophon are the philosophers who created this but Socrates is the main character. So for our first Action project of the term everyone had to make a socratic dialogue with a partner. Because my class is uneven I had a group of three. For our Socratic dialogue we did it about who is the G.O.A.T.( greatest of all time) in the NBA from any era. In my class, called Disease, we studied various types of diseases and looked at the human body. We also learned linear equations and different types of math problems. In this class, we had to make a Action Project about someone with a disease and tell the story behind them. We had to make a drawing of the human body and label what parts of the body the disease had affected. Creating the drawing for this project was fun and I learned a lot from researching about this disease. Lamelo is a middle aged man who lives in Chicago. The disease Lamelo suffers from is called Hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism is a disease when your thyroid gland produces too much of the hormone thyroxine. This disease can change your bodies metabolism which causes it to speed up. Hyperthyroidism impacts Lamelo life by causing issues with his body.
