Hi, my name is PA. The class this Action Project is for my class called Stories. In Stories, we learn about many things like punctuation, different types of stories, sentence structures, etc. For this Action Project, we have to choose a fictional hero and a real hero for us. For my fictional hero, I picked Spiderman. I picked Spiderman because he's my favorite hero. His superpowers are super cool and his suit. After finding a fictional hero I had to find a real hero to me. I realized that I have no real heroes in my life so I thought of someone that was important in my family. I think the most important family member is Mario, my great grandpa. He did so much in his life and has a crazy story to tell. I interviewed my great grandpa and learned so many things I never knew about him. Hi, for this Action Project we had to pick an animal and I picked a cheetah. We had to find a conection between our animals and humans. When I found the connection between a human and a cheetah i was shoked because I thought it was the other way around. At first I thought I was going to hate this Action Project and I really wanted to take the test instead but after doing this I really enjoyed doing this Action Project.  I think this AP really wrapped up the whole class and what the class is about.

Hi, my name is PA and the class this Action Project is for is called Prove it or lose. Prove it or lose it is a class about proving math problems and having different strategies to solve problems. For this Action Project, we worked on Pascals Triangle and Combinations and we had to explain each of them. I gave an example and showed how to solve it as well. I think this project was alright. It taught me a couple things but if I could redo this I would talk about the triangle actually being a pyramid to me but I felt like this was rushed and I didn't have a lot of time. But I enjoyed doing this at the end because it was fun to draw the triangle. Here is my final project. In this class, we are learning a lot of math and science. For this Action Project, we had to put standard deviation into the projhect and it was challenging but I ended up figuring it out. My name is PA. This class is called stories. We learn about writing different rent kind of stories like fables. We also learn about punctuation and different kinds of sentence structures. In this action Project, we had to write a fable that would teach a lesson. I wrote mine about People lying and paying for it. I also wrote about listening to your parents. I think if I did this project again I would add different animals because some did not make sense but overall this project was fun. Something I think I did really good on was the image. I think I did well on it because I didn't just draw the pond but I cut paper out of the world that I imagined and drew on top of the pictures. It took a very long time to do because I'm not that good at cutting things out. I think I did a pretty good job on everything and I think the time we were given to do this was the perfect amount of time I needed. My name is PA and this class is called Prove it or Lose it. In class were learning about angels, slope and much more. I have learned a lot from the start of this class but I struggle in some parts. This Action Project was extremely hard for some reason and took a very long time. When I started to understand the project more it got easier on the way to finishing. For this Action project we had to pick something that had a line of symmetry or a reflection. I picked a football to graph and find slope.  Here it is. I found the slope for C and D. C is the first one on the top which was (8,8) and D which is the last one on the bottom also (8,8). 8-8     =  Slope = 0 8-8 I also found the angels in the field and H, I and J are reflections of E, F and G. The angels that they are are obtuse angels.

Hi, my name is PA and the class I'm making this Action Project for is called Stories. We had one Field Experience and that was having a man come in to talk to us about telling a good story. He said he is a Comedian, Story teller, and hosts a radio show. I thought it was very interesting and cool to have him come in but I don't think it was much help. He had a lot to say and saw that he had talent. For this Action Project we each had to write a story and draw or make a picture of what our place looked like. I made a collage with different colors of paper because I thought drawing a picture is too easy and won't take time to do. I wrote about a new planet that the humans found because their planet was destroyed. Im not going to spoil it all but thats the summary. My name is PA and in this class called Population. We are learning how to solve and do set theory and taxonomic levels. We learned about more but this is what’s mostly in our action project. We went on one Field Experience this term to Lincoln Park Zoo. I really enjoyed going to the zoo because I haven't been there in a while. We had to pick an animal, list the taxonomic level of the animal and take a picture. I picked the cheetah but it was not out while we were at the zoo so I couldn't get a picture. We had to draw a picture of our animal and label the taxonomic levels and why they were what they are. That is about half of the Action Project. We had to do a lot more, but I don't want to spoil it all, here my first Action Project of the year is. I chose the Cheetah it’s, scientific name is Acinonyx jubatus. The class my Action Project is for is called "Food for Thought". In this class there are three units; Life, Death, and Birth. This Essay is for our Death course which we learned and studied about food. We left our school to go on a few Field Experiences. One field Experiences that I learned from and enjoyed was going to the Lincon Park Conservatory. I enjoyed this because I learned a lot about plants and animals that I would never come across on a regular day. Even though I did enjoy this Field Experience I think it would have been better if we went to the Garfield park Conservatory because that one is such bigger and I could have learned and took away more from it. Another thing that I enjoyed was writing this paper because I thought I would know everything I had to write but I had to research a couple things. In this class we had to choose a topic to talk and write about and I picked climate change because its a topic I'm familiar with.    

In this course we learned bout percents, fractions, and punnet squares for math. In science me and my class are learning about GMOs and for this AP you had to pick a side. The two sides are anti or for GMOs. I picked anti GMOs because I believe GMOs are wrong to use.   Untitled from P A on Vimeo .

In this unit of Food For Thought we learned a lot and went to many places. we went on three Field experiences to different places around Chicago. In this Action Project we had tomato a dish and get the same dish from a retrain and compare them. I piked pizza and described and compared them.

   In this class called Food we are learning about different kinds of food. We went on two different field experiences to two farms. I enjoyed the first farm but the second was not as fun because we got dirty. In this class we learned a lot of math and we also learned about ingredients and how to convert them into different measurements like cups. In this Action project we made dough and baked it to make bread. We made a hypothesis and made a question. We also had to write our procedure and ingredients.

    Hello there, This Action Project is for our first unit in Food For thought called life. In this first unit we went on three Field Experiences which I learned a lot from all three. The first Field Experiences went on was Metropolis, Metropolis was a coffee roaster. They gave us a tour and then we started to smell and taste test some of the coffees. The second Field Experiences was stay at school Field Experience. My mom came in to show my class and teacher how to make tortillas, but they were not the only people learning I was as well. The last Field Experiences we went on for this unit was Odd Produce where we went around our schools neighborhood and Dave Odd showed us 46 food we could eat out in the city which was very cool. These all related to our class because were learning about the origin of food and life and these foods all have a story behind them. PA's Family Tree, 2018.

This AP is for our Food class in STEAM. We worked on making an imaginary garden, making measurements and planted foods in the garden. We also had to draw a picture of how our garden would look. We went on a couple field experiences to go outside and visit the GCE gardens. We had to pick a spot to measure and draw our imaginary gardens and I picked a section in my backyard because it was a perfect square.  

For this class called Fuel we are working on an Action Project. We had three units and they were called Past, Present, and Future. We had many Field Experiences and my favorite one had to be going to Tesla. I think this would have to be my favorite FE because I've learned a lot about what Teslas do for our world. This Action Project is about our prediction when our PPM will reach 350. This AP is also about making having new ways of absorbing and give off CO2. In conclusion, I think this AP went very well for me and I learned a lot from it. I learned that we emit a lot of CO2 from many things but it ca be prevented from using things like solar powered cars to reduce the amount we emit. Something I think I did well on is thinking of ideas for absorbing and give off CO2. Something I think I could of improve on is thinking of numerical impact because I couldn't find it anywhere.

  My name is Paolo and I am A freshman in GCE lab school. This AP is for a class called fuel and we are in the second unit of the class. this Ap is about renewable resources and I chose solar energy. We went on many FE's but my favorite was going to comED. Even though it wasn't as help full as I thought it would be it was a new experience and very fun. This AP is a video on solar energy.    To conclude this AP I thought it was a good experience doing this. Something I could've improved on is making a better script. I didn't have a long time to do this so i was sort of rushed. Something I think I did great in is this Ap because it was very thought out and clean. Doing this Ap I've learned a lot.

My name is Paolo and Im a freshman in GCE lab school. this AP is for a class called Who am I and we had to make a 2.5-4.5 minute podcast with an essay. My podcast is about me and what my truths and beilfs are. I also interviewed my grandmother to see what her truths and bielefs were and her were very similar to mine. In this humanities class we had one FE which was a GCE students mom coming in to teach us about behavior and how we can relate to dogs by learning what good is and bad. I think that this first half of or class was fun and very interesting for me.   This AP was a very successful AP for me because I did everything that was assigned and listened to the rubric. In the podcast it was really hard to talk because I had to read off a paper I wrote and I kept messing up. If I were to do this AP again I would record my grandmas interview to put on the podcast.

In my class called Fuel we are learning about renewable and nonrenewable resources. We are also learning about other things but this is what we're doing our action project about. On February 14, we went to the Tesla car dealership to learn more about how cars are evolving and thing that Tesla is doing. Something else we learned about is math and slopes which you will see in my AP. The thing   that I think will stay with me is calculating to get the slope because doing it really helps in math. In this class we went on one FE witch was the Tesla car show room and I really enjoyed it but it didn't really help me with the class or the AP.   This first part of the class was really good for me but at the same time I struggled in some areas. The part I think I struggled most in were finding the slope and doing the equations.Something I think I did really well in is learning about nonrenewable resources. In this class called Thin Red Lines, we made many had drawn maps and looked at a variety of maps. This term was very exciting for me because most of the Field Experiences we went on have been very active. For our Action Project, we had to Make three separate maps and write at a 500-word explanation about the map. As you can see I have drawn three maps and layered them all on top of each other to show you how they compare. The area I drew around is Midway airport and the three maps are different time periods in the same place where Midway currently sits. I have been in a Rocket Science class for a while and have been doing mini missions which are like actives that get us patches that we can put on our rocket when we launch. For two days strait we have been building a rocket to launch.  We also have been on many FE's that were really fun for me, but my favorite FE would have to be going to the Museum of Science and Industry because I have not been there in a very long time and I learn not only about Rockets but space and other planets. In this Action project me and my class got $1,000,000 to spend on materials to build a rocket and I spent $960,000 so I was really close to one million. We launched the rockets on January 17 this is how it turned out.
